Movement, Meditation and Art
In this four week series, we'll experiment with drawing, collage, journaling, movement and various forms of meditation all intended to help awaken insightful creativity. Each week we'll expand on a different theme to open us to seeing ourselves and the world around us differently.
The process of seeing and listening moves beyond the limitations of our eyes and ears. During this series we use the senses, movement, stillness, silence, and discussion as a way to stir imagination and playfulness. You don't need to be a yogi or an artist to attend- just come with an open heart and mind, and be ready to create.
What to bring:
-Journal. Any size will do, but larger is better.
-Pen and pencil.
-Yoga Mat... we will be doing various kinds of movements-- yoga and non-related yoga! The studio has mats, but you might consider bringing your own if you have one. Same with meditation cushions.
-Water bottle (for keeping hydrated).
Must attend all 4 weeks.
Space is limited. Advance sign up is highly recommended.
